Harmonia ( Vulpecula Azumi)

Vulpecule Azumi is the reincarnation of the greek-goddess Harmonia. Harmonia is the goddess of harmony and concord. According to the myth as a daughter of Aphrodite, she presided over marital harmony, soothing strife and discord; as a daughter of Ares, she represented harmonious action in war.

Origin of name
Vulpecula no Azumi, Azumi meaning “ safe residence’’ .



History
Harmonia reincarnated once every 222 years, to help the Goddess Athena against all the evil in the world and fight it. She was born and raised in a normal living family. At an age of 3 years old, evil people founded out her real identity and tried to kill the little girl. Even though those people didn’t succeed Azumi also lost her parents. She was all alone, but luckily got raised by an older woman who could not bear to see the little girl die without knowing the beautiful things on earth. The older woman always told her stories about Athena and her warriors of hope ‘Saints’. Azumi (6 by that time) who was so interested in those stories decided to become one herself, without knowing the truth behind herself.

She left on a journey to Greece, so she could learn more about the myth of Athena and her legendary saints. There, she met two young twins called ‘Saga ‘ and ‘Kanon’. They became great friends and trained a lot together, even though Azumi had a hard time keeping up with the young brothers. They pulled her through it, and eventually after all those hard years of training she returned to Japan (age of 12), Together with the Vulpecula Cloth, she started the life of a female Saint. Even though female saints are supposed to where a mask to hide their identity as a woman, she refused to wear it because she already spoke her feelings towards the younger twin brother ‘Kanon’. And because she loved him enough to let him go they both have gone their own way.

Back in Japan, she was invited at the Kido foundation to train a little boy called Satoru who was qualified to become a Saint of Athena. She accepted the offer and soon left on their journey to find the Pyxis Cloth. Later on she came to know more and more about her true identity and the Goddess Harmonia.

Her cosmos is able to find the true evil inside people and destroys it, she is also able of healing people but not able to resurrect them from the death. Before knowing about who she really was she was the Vulpecula Saint and so she wears the Vulpecula Cloth, because of that she has the power of the earth. Even though she knows that a Goddess can’t be together with a mortal, she still decided to stay together with Kanon. And so they died together in the battle with Hades.

Abilities
Before coming to know she was Harmonia and training to become a Saint, she was a normal girl with ordinary friends in a small village. She loved wright stories about the saints that the old lady always talked about, and had a big interest in greek myths. As a deity, Harmonia has capabilities that surpass those of humans, but most of the time refuses to use them because she wants to stay true to her Saint abilities where she trained so hard for. And thus a true saint towards Athena.

Attacks:

Chikyü no Rizumu ( Earth rhythm ): Is a technique that requires a lot of concentration and strength. When released it loses an earth pattern under the enemies feet and lets them see an illusion they can’t escape. Ones trapped, there’s no way out. This way it makes it easy for Azumi to kill them.

Ryüsei Ame ( Meteor Rain): Azumi’s strongest technique, By exploding her Cosmo she creates a rain over more than 1000 meteors clashing down onto the enemy and makes it almost impossible to dodge. Even though it asks a lot of her cosmo, and might kill her is she uses it over more than 4 times.

Gemini Kanon; The man she fell in love with at their training times. At the beginning they both didn’t go along well with each other and barely even talked. It is when Kanon saved her life once when she was treated badly by other villains she came to trust him, and eventually became friends and then lovers. After leaving Greece and years passed by and she had heard the news that he died she had totally forgotten about him. But in the battle with the seven seas to save Athena, they met again. Azumi who couldn’t believe the love of her life was still alive, and Kanon who held a grudge against her for giving up on him. After the battles where over and Atlantis was going to be flooded with water, Kanon saved the unconscious goddess from her death, again. When returned to sanctuary, Kanon asked for forgiveness from Athena in which she accepted. And so after all they where together in the end.

Gemini Saga: Kanon’s older brother, cared a lot for her wellness back in the days. Azumi also saw him as her older brother and great friend, she even used to call him Saga-niisan. When the battles in the sanctuary occurred and Athena’s life was in big danger , she stayed by her side till the golden arrow was removed. When they arrived at the Holy fathers grounds she could not believe that Saga fell down to the path of evil.

Athena ( Kido Saori): Athena’s reincarnation and a great friend of Harmonia. They met each other at the battle of the 12 temples when Saori’s life was in danger and Azumi tried to ease the pain a little with her abilities. In the many wars they had Harmonia always stood by Athena’s side. Also as one of Athena’s saints she protected her with every power she had.

Pyxis Satoru : Her student she trained to become one of the 88 saints Athena. To her Satoru was a wise and fast learning student which made it a lot easier to train. She had great concern for him cause even though he was smart he wasn’t really strong, which reminded herself from the past. That’s why the really got along well in those years of hard training.

Pegasus Seiya : Seiya had a great invluence on her ever since she met him. Because of him she was able to forgive Saga for trying to take Athena’s life. Furthermore she saved his butt many times when he got himself into trouble, and in the battle with Wyvern Rhadamanthys she fought together with the gold Saints ‘ Milo, Aiolia and Mu’ and lost their lives by protecting to young bronze saints. In order to save Athena.

Information about the Vulpecula Constellation:

Vulpecula belongs to the Hercules family of constellations, along with Hercules, Sagitta, Aquila, Lyra,Cygnus, Hydra, Sextans, Crater, Corvus, Ophiuchus, Serpens, Scutum, Centaurus, Lupus, Corona Australis,Ara, Triangulum Australe and Crux.

Constellations directly bordering Vulpecula are Sagitta, Cygnus, Lyra, Hercules, Delphinus and Pegasus.

Information about the Goddess Harmonia her necklace
Harmonia is renowned in ancient story chiefly on account of the fatal necklace she received on her wedding day. When the government of Thebes was bestowed upon Cadmus by Athena, Zeus gave him Harmonia. All the gods honored the wedding with their presence. Cadmus presented the bride with a robe and necklace, which he had received either from Hephaestus or from Europe. This necklace, commonly referred to as the Necklace of Harmonia, brought misfortune to all who possessed it. Other traditions stated that Harmonia received this necklace from some of the gods, either from Aphrodite or Athena.

When Azumi (Harmonia) married to Kanon she also received that necklace as a gift from the gods.
